Active in record, tv/film productions, publishing and talent management. Midem 2005 award winning label - (©urve) music is a mix of artists who share their diverse musical knowledge, cultural influences and experiences on creating modern works mixing live instrumentation and technology, with the urban sounds from Madrid, London, Bologna, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro and Vitoria in Brasil.

Due to their geographical and cultural differences and the constant change of information between our artists, (©urve)music adopted and continues implementing a lateral approach on various levels of the production process, including the business model; as 'samplers' lost it's meaning while we searched to establish an electric charge of dance floor culture, worthy loyalty and longevity, into a catalogue 'composed' by friends.

(©urve)music was born to help new and established artists create high-quality records, and to provide a dedicated staff and the business infrastructure necessary to produce, market, promote and distribute those records. To date, we have released albums from: TAMY "SOUL MAIS BOSSA" and got an award from Midem in 2005 for ZONE'S debut MADRUGADA.

Our catalogue is therefore made up of 100% original works, truly reflecting the rich and diverse sound landscape of today's Soul, Bossa, Tango, Nu Jazz, Flamenco and its interaction with electronic music & beyond..

Simply, jazz is in essence what we do 'like', as it's through respect and admiration for the finest music that we hope to inspire audiences as much as the artists that inspired us in the first place! Bemvindos, aumente o volume and enjoy the melodies :)

Samalea
Tango.ar

A cinematic landscape of grooves that only a genuine Argentinean bandoneon maestro and drummer could have produced. "Tango.ar" is Samalea’s debut compilation album on (©urve)music a collection of his best works to date and was recorded in Madrid, Buenos Aires and Woodstock.

Electronic tango beats meets acoustic instruments, flamenco and African percussion, in an original compilation of modern Argentinean music best described in the words of the master himself: "It is not enough to have the most melodious voice to intone a tango. No. In addition, it is necessary to feel it. One has to live in its spirit”. 'Carlos Gardel'.

Samela is literally the real Argentinean BADMAN in " Gotan"…

AVAT.AR
Maria Eva Albistur

Avat.ar: 1. Somebody who embodies, personifies, or is the manifestation of an idea or concept Although Maria Eva Albistur is best known for her 'electronic tango’, the talented Argentine has a long history mixing beats and groovy new sounds with more traditional forms of music.

She's been in a series of experimental ensembles that have ranged from jazz and funk to Latin-African projects, playing alongside Joaquin Sabina, David Broza, Ramón Leal and Luis Pastor among others, as well as a leading her own band in Madrid and Buenos Aires.

AVAT.AR is a compilation of the best works on her 2 albums so far. Insomne (2000), licensed into many different territories worldwide and 'Avatar', licensed to Universal Argentina & Uruguay and therefore, given the seal of approval by those in the ‘known’ in South America.

Zone
Madrugada

The Inside Connection Magazine - USA Jan.06 Enzo Torregrossa, aka Zone, has meticulously created an intriguing fusion of jazz and dance music to yield a unique melody the jazz scene hasn’t yet tasted.

The Italian bass player has made comrades of two very different genres of music, and collided what most would consider polar opposites to combine into musical eloquence.

Not far from becoming a show stopper at several jazz festivals around the world, Zone will most notably be recognized for a risky marriage of two seemingly distant musical expressions and making one great sound.

Tamy
Soul Mais Bossa

Soul Mais Bossa is the sort of album that once in a while comes to remind us just how Brazilians have so much fun. Mr.Scruff (Ninja Tune) called "Wriggly, Top Tunes"!! 'Soul Mais Bossa' is understood in Brazil as I prefer Bossa.

Tamy certainly does, luckily for us it is arranged with funk, soul and melodic vocals reminiscent of Joyce's era, where 'modernidade' could be found simply by mixing a guitarist and a great singer.

Road tested in the fierce competitive Brazilian market of Japan 'Soul Mais Bossa' took the country by storm, leaving behind the likes of Bebel Gilberto, Seu Jorge and others, when after released on the 27/07/05, it got up to number 04 on the HMV -

Best sellers Brazilian charts while holding at 3 on the HMV – Bossa Nova Best Sellers charts simultaneously for 6 weeks.

Rob LI

The nu soul vibes of Rob Li came together just after he got a number 17 in the UK singles chart in 2004 with Darren Tate’s – Sun is Shinning (Down on Me).

Soon after Rob start developing his debut album 'Demo v.05'; still under development the album bear great similarities with the classic soulfulness, lyrics & live arrangements of Alicia Keys and Steve Wonder with the furious jazz grooves of Earth Wind & Fire in a meeting with John Legend in 2008.

Ronaldo Bastos & Celso Fonseca
Juventude / Slow Motion Bossa Nova

Slow Motion Bossa Nova certainly fits this one -- a beautiful album of lush jazzy arrangements, done in the 60s style, but with added touches of soulful vocals by Celso Fonseca.

The assemblage of musicians on the record is great and feature old and young bossa talents that include Joao Donato, Robertinho Silva, Marcio Montarroyos, Luiz Alves, Daniel Jobim, and Jaques Morelenbaum.

The album's far more than a 60s bossa reprise as it's filled with original tunes that sparkle with the gentle easiness of some of Bossa Nova best works of years past.

Titles include "Satelite Bar", "Samba E Tudo", "A Voz Do Coracao", "Dylan Em Madrid", "Feito Pra Voce", "Miles Ahead Of Time", and "O Sorriso De Angkor".

J.T. Meirelles
Esquema Novo

Esquema Novo is an affirmation of a style that was born modern and that reaches into the third millennium still highly innovative.

A whole new chapter in the career of samba jazz legend J.T Meirelles -- one that breaks from most of his previous work, but in a really wonderful way!

Although Meirelles is best known for the bossa and samba-inflected jazz sides he recorded in the 60s, he's working here in a mode that's equally grooving -- but which has a few more electric touches overall, in a style that makes for a wonderfully soulful sound!

The album has been done in a breezy style that skips along with Meirelles' own work on flute and alto sax -- a style that's clearly inspired by bossa, but which takes it in a whole new direction, filling in lines with even deeper colors and tones than before.

We really love this one, and can't believe that after 40 years, Meirelles could step into a whole new sound this beautifully!

Lucio Gomes Queiroz aka Dr.K
SwingSamba Longe

A unique piece of the real retro sounds mixed with today’s electronic beats ready for the dance floor aficionados… Got your dancing shoes ready?

So head straight to the SWINGSAMBALOUNGE. Lucio Gomes Queiroz aka Dr.K always believed in free-music-recycling and after a seriously deep research into all Latin/Brazilian things from the 60’s & 70’s, plus numerous remixes for the likes of Morcheeba and FatBoy Slim (Song for Rio), he delivered us his extraordinary findings.
