Canadian jazz legend Sonny Greenwich
is not only a nationwide renowned musician but one of the world's
most talented guitar players. Inspired by Sonny Rollins, Miles
Davis and John Coltrane, Greenwich started his career in 1959
in Canada, and then achieved his notoriety in USA where he played
with Pharoah Sanders, Miles Davis, Chick Corea, Charles Lloyd,
Wayne Shorter, McCoy Tyner. Back in Canada he pursuited a fruitful
activity, recording, playing in festivals and jazz clubs. His
brilliant technique of improvisation is backed up by an intense
spiritual foundation on which he builds his compositions.
Sonny Greenwich is the recipient
of many prestigious Jazz awards, his CDs are mentioned in Jazz
Encyclopedias and respected magazines.
